A serenata is a song offered from the heart. At Serenata Studios, we turn that offering into artistry.

About the Studio

Welcome!

I’m Serena, a professional opera singer and voice teacher in the Pacific Northwest with over 20 years and more than 30,000 hours of combined performing and teaching experience. I offer elite, conservatory-level voice training and beginner to intermediate piano lessons.

My performance career includes work with Seattle Opera, Seattle Symphony, Tacoma Opera, Pacific Northwest Opera, Harmonia Symphony, Vashon Opera, and many other regional companies, along with national recognition in several vocal competitions. I’m also a proud alumna of Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music.

I work with singers of all stages, from beginners building a strong foundation to advanced vocalists preparing for auditions, competitions, and professional opportunities. While my studio welcomes all passionate singers, it is best suited for students who are dedicated and serious about their growth and committed to refining their craft.

My teaching approach blends solid technique, vocal health, and authentic artistic expression. We work on a deep understanding of voice anatomy and how it actually functions, how to use your instrument sustainably, and how to bring genuine storytelling to your singing, no matter your genre. Lessons are individualized, goal oriented, and designed to help you build confidence, stamina, and artistic clarity.

At Serenata Studios, you will train in a focused and supportive environment where you can explore your voice fully and make meaningful progress. Whether you are pursuing opera, musical theatre, jazz, rock, pop, or personal enrichment, you will receive guidance tailored to your goals and the unique qualities of your voice.
