STUDIO INFO

At Serenata Studios, lessons go far beyond simply singing songs—this is elite-level vocal training designed to cultivate not just strong singers, but well-rounded, highly skilled musicians. My studio offers comprehensive instruction in voice and piano, built on the principles of technical excellence, artistic expression, and deep musical understanding.

My Teaching Philosophy

I believe that every singer deserves a strong technical foundation, a deep connection to their artistry, and the tools to sustain their voice for a lifetime.

My approach is rooted in both scientific vocal pedagogy and expressive storytelling, allowing students to develop healthy, sustainable technique while also unlocking their personal artistry. I am committed to individualized instruction, ensuring that each student receives the specific training and resources needed to reach their highest potential.

My studio is best suited for students who are dedicated to their growth and serious about refining their craft. Whether you are preparing for auditions, competitions, professional performances, or personal enrichment, I will guide you through every aspect of vocal development and musicianship with an expert, holistic approach.

My Background & Professional Experience

With over 20 years of experience as a professional opera singer and recognized expert in voice training, I have built a reputation for technical expertise, performance excellence, and mentorship.

I hold a Bachelor of Music in Operatic Vocal Performance from the prestigious Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, where I trained under some of the finest vocal pedagogues and famous opera singers in the field. I have continued my education through masterclasses, private study, and collaborations with world-class conductors, coaches, voice specialists, and voice scientists.

As a performer, I have built an extensive career as one of the most sought-after sopranos in the Pacific Northwest, performing with Seattle Opera, Seattle Symphony, Tacoma Opera, Pacific Northwest Opera, Puget Sound Concert Opera, and many other esteemed companies. I have also been recognized and have won several national vocal competitions, have experience in various performance styles (jazz, roles in musical theatre, a rock band, and have begun working with voice effects for heavy metal) further solidifying my expertise and knowledge in vocal performance across multiple genres. My experience across opera, musical theatre, jazz, rock, and pop allows me to train singers in a versatile, well-rounded manner, tailored to their specific genre and goals.

Lesson Structure & Comprehensive Training

Lessons at Serenata Studios are meticulously structured, ensuring that each session is engaging, informative, and tailored to the student’s individual needs.
